Moving Out of the Nest (Dia/Sting)

Dia rolled her eyes as she held a box in her hand while her father stood blocking the doorway. "I can't live with you forever you know?" Dia said.

"I can wish it." Sting said as he looked at his daughter. "Did you call Rai to let her know you were moving?"

"Yes," Dia said, readjusting her grip on the box.

Sting sighed and took the box from her. "I don't like the fact that your moving."

"I'm 21 dad," Dia said. "It's time for me to be on my own."

"Your my little girl I want you to be safe."

"You're too overprotective of me," Dia said.

"I know but it's not my fault."

"Never said it was," Dia said, a smile creeping across her face. "You know I love you."

Sting smiled widely. "Okay let's finish getting you loaded up."

Dia nodded.

Sting carried the box to the truck and put it in the back.

"That's the last of it," Dia said.

He nodded with a sigh.

"Dad......" Dia sighed.

"What?"

Dia held her arms out.

"Come here," Dia said.

Sting picked her up in a huge hug. "I'm going to miss having you around."

"It's not like I'll be gone forever," Dia said, hugging him tightly.

"I know."

"I just need to have a little time to find myself," Dia said.

"I know." Sting said as he let her go.

Dia smiled at him as he let her go.

"You are getting a dog."

"Duh," Dia said.
